Kukui was raised pretty much entirely on wholesome organic locally-grown Austerity Food (and also like. raw protein powder) and is overall a pretty good cook. Lotta fish and local fruits. The man likes kale unironically, guys. Meanwhile Burnet loves barbeque and cheese and spicy foods and convenience store trash. They were initially Quite Dismayed by eachother's eating habits, though they've since come around to some of eachother's favorite dishes. Kukui still despairs over her love of Processed Cheese-Adjacent Products, though (she eats nacho cheese dip with a spoon)
Kukui has also taken to teaching all eleventy billion of his adoptive kids how to cook if they don't already know, because he finds the eating habits of most of his adult friends to be Highly Alarming and he's building a less dysfunctional Alola one unrestrained dad-impulse at a time
Hau's a pretty good cook overall even if his tasted skew more towards the deep-fried and sugar-dusted than Kukui would approve of. He's actually the best cook of the main four kids and loves cooking for other people, especially as he gets older.
Charlize (my Sun champion) and Ami (my Ultra Moon champion) are both decent cooks, though not as good as Hau. Charlize likes to team up in the kitchen, doing the prep work while he does most of the actual cooking, which works out well because of the group of them she's the only one who can stick her hand in a dead chicken without wincing. It's probably the most wholesomely couple-y thing they do together. Ami meanwhile is a lazy dick who Will Not cook for herself if she can reasonably get someone else to do it for her and really only uses her skills to make desserts and breakfast pastries.
Lillie, by contrast, is probably the worst cook of the Main Four. She can serve tea and toast a pop tart and that's pretty much it. Over time she's made various attempts to learn from Hau and Kukui and Burnet to become more independent, but she still never gets particularly good at it.
Gladion had to take care of himself alone for the two years after leaving Aether Paradise and therefore is a fairly decent cook. He's in the same boat as the UM champion though in that he's rather have Hau's cooking than his own when the option's available. He's not used to being able to rely on others to look out for him, but he wants to be able to enjoy it.
Molayne cannot cook at all; he (and therefore Sophocles) survives mainly off of copious Fantasy Jimmy-Johns delivery sandwiches, plus probably way too much mountain dew. Kukui makes semi-frequent visits to the observatory with the primary function of getting Sophy to eat Actual Fruits And Vegetables once in a while.
Guzma can technically cook well enough to get by, but he usually doesn't, partially because Team Skull as a whole collectively lives off of convenience and take-out and mostly because his particular combo platter of brainfuck means that hunger just does not register as a thing most of the time. Like at any given moment his omnidirectional pissiness is at minimum being exacerbated by the fact that his blood sugar has been slowly spiraling into the basement for the last ten hours. Plumeria despairs, but it's not like she's any better. He's not an especially picky eater and not liking a kind of food won't actually stop him from eating it if he's hungry, though he has a major sweet tooth.
Plumeria's also pretty bad at remembering to eat, but in her case it's more an issue of hyperfocus making all outside stimulus Go Away. She's technically a pretty picky eater, but during her time in Team Skull she had to muscle past a lot of her food-related sensory squicks pretty regularly out on necessity. She starts learning how to cook after the team disbands and gets really into it because being able to make and have food solely to your own exact preferences is fucking rad, actually. She loves spicy food and would prefer that everything she puts in her mouth has the exact flavor of Intense Pain, which Guzma finds hilarious.
Nanu's also on the Depression Appetite Fuckery Squad and is a shamelessly terrible cook. He just orders takeout every few days and lives off the leftovers, and even then his cats usually end up getting into it in order for everything to get ate before it goes bad.
Mohn was the one doing most of the cooking in the Aether family, and after he disappeared Lusamine mostly hired caterers/private chefs because she doesn't know wtf she's doing in the kitchen. As they got closer to the events of Sun&Moon and Aether Paradise became more insular "private chefs" was increasingly replaced with "Wicke, who probably isn't getting paid enough for this shit"
Grimsley goes to great pains to Be Seen dining at the most upscale restaurants in whatever city he happens to be in, but left to his own devices he lives mainly off of instant noodles. He does not always bother to cook them. Just crunches 'em up raw and dumps the flavor packets in after.
N is a notoriously picky eater. On top of just general sperg-related sensory issues, he also has a wheat allergy. He lives pretty much off of iced coffee and One Specific Brand Of String Cheese, god help him.
Nobody has ever seen Colress eat. As far as anybody knows, he survives entirely off of caffeinated gummis and intravenous nutrient injections
